"Confidence is key," right?
I mean, that's how we all view it, isn't it? We all view the person who is confident in their abilities and what they can do as the superior one and subconsciously favor their opinion and standings above others'.
But why? When you boil it down to the basics, people who are confident are mostly shallow, and the more you see, and not only see, but let what you saw impact how you perceive the world, the less confident you are in YOUR abilities, and that was capitalized for a reason.
It's the same idea as knowledge, because, actually, the more you know, the less you feel like a know-it-all, and when you see how the world shifts and changes around you for things that are completely out of your reach, and the more you notice and think about how all of the things you have are really all because of "fate" and instances you had no control over, the less you feel confident in yourself. Or at least you should.
But why should you be confident in YOUR abilities? Capitalized again. Why not be confident in a higher power? Why not put your faith and belief in that "fate" that put you in that moment that made everything happen for you?
You see, people tell you that they can lose it all overnight and start from scratch and they will build it all again, brick by brick, because of their skills, or because of their contacts, or this or that, but all of it, essentially, comes down to this:
Exactly what should you be confident in?
Because if you think that all you have is your skills or contacts, and you can do anything just because of those, and you can't leave it to "luck," you gotta have a "solid plan," right? Well, let me ask you another question:
How solid is a plan where you put your confidence in God?
You can be confident, over-confident, even, but for the right reasons, with the right mindset, and in the right power. Because at the end of the day, the variables are infinite, our knowledge is limited, and we should be confident knowing that, not turning a blind eye from it and living life with a tunnel vision.
You want to be confident in something that doesn't fade? Something you can always depend on? Something that would never fail you, and would help you start from scratch and do it all over again, even if you lose it overnight?
I hate to break it to you, but that thing is not your skills, not your personality, not your money, not your contacts, not your fame, and not whatever black horse you think you have, and if you can't grasp that, then maybe it's better to continue your life through that tunnel until you reach the other side.
